Diagnostic Hearing Assessments

Our comprehensive testing assists in identifying the type and degree of hearing damage. With a wider range of tests and up-to-date diagnostic equipment, we get more information on the state of your hearing system.

Hearing Aids

The Audiology Clinic of Alberta has a large selection of hearing aids, and our team assists in selecting the most suitable devices and keeping them maintained.

Hearing Aid Fitting

Hearing aids are most effective when they are adjusted to match the wearer’s hearing loss prescription. Our team fits new hearing aids to ensure that you get the most out of you new device.

Hearing Aid Repairs

As hearing technology experts, our team is quick to troubleshoot and determine the cause of problems with your hearing instruments. We can complete minor repairs in-house, or we’ll work with manufacturers to fulfill warranty coverage.

Aural Rehabilitation

Hearing involves both your ears and brain. Rehabilitation is a process to help your brain get used to the sounds it receives when you wear hearing aids, and it contributes to improved results when you wear devices.

Wax Removal

We offer wax removal for current clients with hearing loss and who are using hearing aids. The Audiology Clinic of Northern Alberta has a suite of tools to remove wax, including a specialized vacuum, curettes and irrigation systems.

We Also Help with Tinnitus

Manage your reaction to ringing in the ears with talk therapy options and hearing aid technology.

  • What is the difference between an audiology clinic and a hearing clinic?

An audiology clinic is a type of hearing clinic that offers services under the direction of registered audiologists. While audiology clinics offer all the same services as a hearing clinic, audiologists offer additional clinical and educational experience.

  • How much does a hearing test cost?

A hearing test is the foundation of hearing care. The information we learn from your tests informs the treatment options or hearing aids that will make the biggest difference.

Some hearing aid shops offer free hearing tests. At the Audiology Clinic of Northern Alberta, our hearing tests are $112. If you decide to proceed with hearing aids, we will apply the cost of the hearing test to your devices.

We are motivated by learning as much as possible about your hearing and using that information to recommend the most suitable options for your well-being and health – instead of being motivated to sell hearing aids.

  • If I have hearing loss, will I need to wear hearing aids?

We can only recommend the next steps after we understand your hearing as well as possible, but it is common to suggest hearing aids as an option.

It is normal to be hesitant about trying hearing aids. Fortunately, there are more types and styles of devices so you can select a style that better matches your specific hearing challenges and lifestyle. If we recommend hearing aids, we are confident that the benefits outweigh any potential downsides.
